The High Plains Drift Inn is located in South Central Colorado. (For all you elk hunters out there, that would be game management units 80 and 81.) The closest town is Capulin, Colorado, eight miles away. Capulin only has a Post Office; so for shopping purposes, Alamosa is your best bet boasting a Walmart supercenter, City Market, Big R, numerous gas stations, hotels and restaurants.
